about

Eric and I grew up on opposite side of Canada. He's from Bathurst, New Brunswick and I'm from Vernon, BC. We've been fortunate enough to get to travel all over writing and playing music. That's what brought us to Toronto, where we met, and where we've lived now for years. It's always nice to go back to where you grew up... it gives you perspective on a lot of things. But change is a constant, at home and away, and eventually 'home' can become less and less home. Some people can't wait to leave the town they grew up in! I was never that antagonistic, but I knew my place was elsewhere. I've made a new home, and going back to Vernon is always amazing and fun, but it's no longer where my heart is. That is usually what I think about when I sing this song.

lyrics

GHOST TOWN
lyrics: Stephan LaCasse

I fell off the track
Right off the rails
I went right back
To dusty trails

I can’t hold it back
One day we’ll laugh
Some say this happiness should be for sale

This doesn’t feel like home
Cause I feel like a ghost
I feel heaven weighing down on me

I missed out on luck
I missed out on rage
I never had a chance
To turn the page

I can’t hold it back
I can’t hold it together
One day we’ll laugh
Whenever

This doesn’t feel like home
Cause I feel like a ghost
I feel heaven weighing down on me

Will this feel like home
Cause it feels like we’re close
I feel heaven weighing down on me
